Why aren’t people clicking my Call-to-action?

“Why aren’t people clicking Buy Now?”

I starred at the heatmap from Lucky Orange, hoping that I would find a clue.

I clicked ‘Country’, ‘Age’, ‘Gender’

Numbers were flapping in front of my eyes.

But, it was a waste of effort.

Why?

Sure we can chase the footsteps on the beach.

Every click is a footstep.

But unless we spend time understanding WHY that person was heading that way, it’s useless.

Data needs to be translated into a reason.

And through tests with data, we validate the reason.

It’s a two-way street.

Don’t get obsessed with data.

Sometimes it disconnects you with your customers.
