Better clients make a better business.

“Why are you refusing to take my money?”

Was on a call this morning.

The guy showed up asking for help with his copy.

I felt a sense of disrespectfulness.

I could feel his sense of:
“I got the money, write for me.”

After asking him a few questions, I didn’t feel confident about taking him on as a client.

I said to him: “I don’t think I can help you.”

He said: “Why are you refusing to take my money?”

Here’s why I really turned him down:

1. If someone is disrespectful from the start, he is going to be a disrespectful client.

2. If someone is in a very saturated market with a very generic offer, and he is hoping for magic from your copy, RED FLAG.

Lesson here.

Better clients make a better business.
